The largest mosque in Córdoba is one of the culminating points of Hispano-Muslim architectural art and one of the main references of the Arab world. So that, in the opinion of M. Barrucand and A. Bednorz, “it became the norm to measure the totality of sacred Andalusian art” [1]. It is currently known as the Cathedral of the Assumption of Nuestra Señora, formerly Santa María Madre de Dios and also as a mosque-cathedral, although the most generalized name corresponds to the great mosque of Córdoba.
